For one of our customer we are now looking for an Operational Purchaser
Job responsibilities:
- Support internal clients within Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU), Platform Drilling (PDR) and/or Odfjell Well Services (OWS) with operational procurement activities
- Develop any unit specific instructions and procedures to ensure good quality and effective execution of work
- Identify vendors, obtain quotations, negotiate terms of supply and manage vendor contracts and relations
- Perform tasks associated with expediting, track & trace and reporting of same
- Contribute to the development of KPI’s and encourage continuous improvement
- Ensure all purchasing routines and procedures are followed
- Participate in internal and external audits in the division
- Participate in the revision of all routines within the discipline
- Follow up vendors on a secondary level
- Seek good working relationships in the divisionYour qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business, Economics or equivalent (experience may compensate for lack of formal education)
- Good technical understanding, preferably related to the offshore industry
- Good knowledge of IT tools and systems such as Microsoft Office and IFS/equivalent ERP system
- Good Norwegian and English skills, both written and oral
- Service minded and result oriented
- Systematic, efficient and process optimization oriented
- Ability to develop and maintain internal customer and supplier relationshipsJob Specifications:
