Assignment title: PURCHASING MANAGER/CONTRACT SPECIALIST GINA KROG TOPSIDE

Contract Period:          Start: ASAP  End: 01.05.2015, option period: 2 * 1 Year

Assignment description:
Statoil is looking for a Purchasing Manager who also have the abilities to assist the Contract Manager in the Gina Krog Project.

Statoil has, along with its partners Total and Det Norske, recently awarded Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) and Aker Solutions a contract worth NOK6.1bn ($1bn), to construct topsides for the Gina Krogh platform in the North Sea.The scope of the contract includes detailed design, procurement, engineering services, construction, hook-up and commissioning. DSME will design and construct the topsides for the platform, while Aker Solutions inStavangerandOslo,Norway, and alsoKuala Lumpur,Malaysia, will provide support for the detailed engineering services and offshore hook-up and commissioning works.

Gina Krog is an oil and gas field located 30 km north of Sleipner and Eirin gas/condensate field is located 35 km north of Sleipner and 9 km from Dagny. Water depths approximately 116m

The Gina Krog development comprises a standalone platform for oil stabilisation. The oil is exported to a floating storage and offloading unit (FSO), approximately 2.5 km away, where the oil is off-loaded to a shuttle tanker at suitable intervals. The rich gas is exported to Sleipner, where it is processed. The dry gas is exported to the Gassled system, and the condensate is exported in the Sleipner condensate pipeline to Kårstø. The Sleipner condensate train on Kårstø is used to split the condensate into different sales products.

 PURCHASING MANAGER
- Proactively follow up EPCH contractors procurement of goods and services as required by the scope of the relevant EPCH contracts
- Manage, plan and coordinate Company’s work related to purchase of equipment and materials from DG3-DG4
-Participate in defining the Standardisation of Equipment strategy.
-Proactively liaise with relevant category teams in order to obtain and give updated market information with respect to price and lead-times development
-Establish follow up strategies within own area of responsibilities
-Ensure that the agreements are correctly used and managed
-Assist and advice Company Rep. and the Contract Administrator on purchasing related tasks
-Close cooperation with technical personnel

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR (Assist when needed)
-Administration and follow-up of EPCH contract with DSME (Variation Order/Variaton Order Requests)
-General support to the Procurement manager/Contract Manager/Company Representative
-Make sure that the team members understand the commercial mechanisms in the agreements
-Ensure that all procurement processes/- and deliverables are conducted efficiently, with proper control and in compliance with Statoil’s requirements
-Be an active member of the Procurement organisation within the project

 OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
-Seek and provide best practice to/from Statoil competence units and to other projects
-Identify and manage uncertainty within own area of responsibility
-Perform Compliance and SOX controls as required
-Give input to CCE updates

Competence requirements:

Experience
- Extensive experience from project development and execution (min 10 years)
- Extensive experience from managing and following up large contractors procurement of goods and services (min 10 years)
- Experience from administration and follow-up of larger topside Contracts (min 5 years)
-International Site Experience

- Ability to handle responsibility and periodically high work loads
- Proactive and hands-on, able to handle ad-hoc tasks
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- Business understanding and value chain perspective
- Structured, systematic and target driven
- High focus on HSE, ethics and Statoil values

Language requirements (if essential for the work):
English (fluent)
Advantage if candidate master other languages (Norwegian, Malay, Korean etc)
