Exciting opportunities as Procurement Professional in Procurement.
 
Procurement and supplier relations (PSR) is responsible for the supply chain management (SCM) process ensuring safe and efficient supply of products and services to all our operations and development projects globally. The organisation of approximately 900 people possesses comprehensive competence within all parts of the supply chain process, from market analysis and procurement to transportation and logistics. The organisation procures products and services for all of Companys business areas for approximately NOK 120 billion annually.
 
The business unit PSR Procurement Norway is responsible for tactical procurement activities related to operations, maintenance, modifications and business support. Responsibilities include establishment of contract strategies, market & demand analysis, lead tender processes and negotiations, drive supplier performance management and manage complex contract portfolios.
 
Procurement Norway consists of five sectors - operations maintenance and modifications, equipment, safety and chemicals, logistics and subsea operational services, business consulting and temporarily staffing and information and communication technology and business support services.
 
We are now looking for temporary assignments within the Operations, Maintenance and Modifications sector. The sector is responsible for several high-value, complex and strategic contracts with large maintenance and modification contractors. The contracts within the sector have high impact on Statoil’s operations both on offshore platforms and onshore refineries and gas plants.
 
A position as a procurement professional in Procurement Norway offers a great variety in tasks, as well as extensive communication both internally with stakeholders and externally with large contractors. The right candidates combine a solid understanding of the oil & gas industry as well as a commercial mindset.
 
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Commercial representative in contract management teams
- Administration of complex contract portfolios
- Lead cross-functional teams through procurement processes for internal customers (contract strategy, enquiry, evaluation, negotiation and award)
- Extensive contact with suppliers and internal customers
- Advise internal customers on procurement and supply chain issues
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal customers and suppliers
- Support development of best practice
 
Competence requirements:
 
Education:
- Master (preferred) or Bachelor degree - Commercial, Legal or Technical Disciplines
 
Experience:
Preferably 3-10 years’ of experience within one or more of the following areas:
- Procurement & Logistics
- Leading cross-functional teams
- Commercial disciplines
- Work processes within operations, maintenance, modifications and technical equipment
 
Language requirements (if essential for the work):
Fluent in Norwegian and English, written and oral.
