Procurement Coordinator, Stavanger

We are seeking candidates for the following position:

Main purpose of job:


Preparation, analysis and processing of Call for Tenders and Contracts.
Assisting other departments in administration of contracts.

 

 

Reporting to the Department Manager, the Procurement and Contracts Coordinator shall generally work according to objectives defined for the department and more specifically:

1. Establish/define tender / contract strategies
2. Coordinate the processing and prepare documents related to Call for Tenders and Contracts.
3. Negotiate Contracts and recommend contractors.
4. Liaise with originating departments.

  1. Liaise with contractors and maintain good knowledge about market and market trends/development
  2. Coordinate surplus sales
  3. Perform expediting
  4. Coordinate transport and eventual custom clearance (including sales/scrapping)
  5. Coordinate OLF “Sikringsavtale”
  6. Coordinate custom clearance
  7. Responsible for follow-up of bonded warehouse
  8. Assist and advise Company's Rep. in matters concerning Contracts Administration, including preparation of Addendums, contract extensions, agreement of escalation etc.
  9. Claims/Dispute analysis and negotiations.
  10. Other ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Department Manager.

The Procurement and Contracts Coordinator shall be capable of executing the aforementioned tasks in an independent manner without the need of close follow up by its superior.

Competence Requirements:

Education:

  • Alternative I: University studies; in engineering, law or commercial.
  • Alternative II: Regional college in engineering, law or commercial.
  • Other education may be acceptable provided the combination of education and experience is considered sufficient for the job.

Experience/Competence:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant business experience, preferably in an international environment, especially in the field of contract negotiations and administration.
  • Experience within the area of drilling services and equipment related contracts
  • Capable of handling relevant IT tools (SAP, Contiki, Ariba, Achilles, Microsoft Office etc.)
  • Fluent in the english language
