Process Facilitator

The process facilitator is part of the operational procurement development project in the Supply Chain Management (PSCM) organisation.

The main purpose of this role is to assist the project in mapping current processes, designing new improved processes within PSCM and assist in project reporting and follow up.

The role requires active involvement with internal stakeholders, especially among PSCM, finance and user groups to facilitate understanding in current working practices, mapping as-is processes and facilitating creation of local standard operating procedures (SOP) in compliance with new upcoming global common processes. The role requires competence in process mapping, workshop facilitation, process design and documentation. PSCM and oil&gas knowledge are preferred

The role focuses on relevant Operational Management System (OMS) standards, global common processes and shall further contribute to the Company’s priorities of strengthening safety (Safety & Operational Risk – S&OR), rebuilding trust and adding value to the business segment.


Process development

Plan, prepare and facilitate workshops to

  • map current processes within PSCM
  • map upcoming global common process requirements
  • analyse gaps and change requirements between current and upcoming processes
  • design new local SOP’s to comply with the Compny's requirements (global common processes, backbone, other)
  • Prepare and update necessary documentation.


  • Maintain and report project plans and schedules
  • Facilitate risk management process for project and update documentation
  • Facilitate stakeholder management and update documentation


  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve project goals
  • Implement and follow up project reporting routines
  • Drive process mapping, design and documentation effort
  • Participate in project work as required

Assignment starts: 15.01.2012 Assignment ends: 31.12.2013

Place of work: Stavanger 

Technical requirements

  • MSc in business or engineering
  • 3-8 years experience in business consulting
  • Experience from and understanding of PSCM processes
  • Experience from and understanding of Oil&Gas upstream
  • Background from project management/PMO/project reporting roles

Personal requirements

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proven record in managing complex issues, including multiple stakeholders
  • High competence in use of Microsoft Office suite; Excel, power point, project, word.
  • Service minded team player with outspoken proactive problem solving abilities
