Name of assignment:  
HSSE Advisor, Skarv D & C Team

• Participate in daily operations meeting with rig.
• Follow up any HSSE issues from the Acknowledgement of Compliance process and application for consent process
• Follow up and evaluation of new and existing AoC NCRs for drilling rig to ensure “see to” responsibility towards drilling contractor
• Work with the drilling contractor and sub-suppliers to ensure the requirements are covered in the HSSE management system
• Participate in working environment reviews, HAZIDs / HAZOPs, audits etc.
• The position is responsible for defining and carrying out the required HSSE activities to ensure all HSSE aspects are covered in the drilling plans and preparatory work
• Ensure HSSE training plans and programs are developed for training of rig crew in HSSE requirements. 
• During drilling the position is responsible to follow up and provide HSSE advise to the D&C team and participate in the bi-weekly safety meeting with drilling contractor. 
• The Company has an ambitious HSSE policy of “no accidents, no harm to people and no damage to the environment”.  Although this is a team effort and responsibility, the drilling HSSE advisor has an important part in shaping performance and coaching the D&C team, to achieve zero accidents and incidents.  In particular with the contractor follow up.
• Assist in the Risk Management process
• Assist in preparations for rig moves by assist in risk assessments and rig move meetings.
• Establish and follow up applicable HSSE plans and programs for the rig during operation phase.
• Follow up compliance with corporate requirements and with requirements stipulated in the health, safety and environment legislation
• Ensure monthly environmental reports are received, distributed and followed up.
• Follow up of RUH Synergi reporting process on rig.
• Ensure conditions given to discharge permit from KLIF and AfC from PSA are implemented and complied to.
• Follow up and implementation of new initiatives from GWO (Global Wells Organisation.

HSSE Function
Technical issues and deviations shall be cleared with the HSSE function, participation in some HSSE function meetings and offsites, request specialist advise or additional manpower from the HSSE function as required and occasionally participate in HSSE function audits.
The Drilling HSSE Advisor must be committed to both the projects comprehensive HSSE policy and HSSE expectations. It is expected that the position holder is a role model in HSSE behavior.

April/May 2012

Assignment ends:       
31.12.13 with options for extension

Place of work: The position will be located in Forus, although there will be some traveling to follow-up vendors and project deliveries, project meetings and later offshore.

Formal skills requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of E&P activities and HSSE requirements.
• Familiar with and trained in PSA regulations.
• Familiar with and trained in standards like ISO 9001, 14001, and Norsok standards.

Education / Experience
• Minimum B.Sc. in a technical disipline or equivalent and well developed general industry knowledge.
• Minimum 10 years experience E&P activities and 10 years with HSSE.

 Personnal Skills
• The ability to work as part of a team is essential
• Ability to work with various nationalities and cultures and understand their views without loosing sight of  internal goals
• Ability to work in an environment which can be hectic.

Norwegian - Fluent
English - Fluent
